Setup & Wallet Connection
The first step to accessing Juris Protocol is setting up a compatible digital wallet. This wallet serves as your personal gateway to the decentralized world, enabling you to securely store, manage, and interact with your assets on the Terra Classic blockchain.
Begin by selecting a supported wallet recommended by Juris Protocol.
List of supported wallets:
- Galaxy Station - https://station.hexxagon.io
- Terra Station - https://station.terra.money/
- Keplr - https://www.keplr.app/
- LUNC Dash - https://luncdash.com/
Whether you choose a browser extension wallet or a mobile app, the process is straightforward:
Step 1 - Download and Install a DeFi Wallet for Terra Classic:
Visit the official website of the wallet provider and download the wallet app or browser extension.
Step 2 - Create a New Wallet:
Follow the on-screen instructions to create your wallet. During this process, you will receive a unique seed phrase—a set of words that functions as the key to your wallet. It is imperative to store this phrase securely offline. Losing it may result in permanent loss of access to your funds.
Step 3 - Secure Your Assets:
Beyond safeguarding your seed phrase, consider using additional security features such as hardware wallets, strong passwords, and enabling two-factor authentication where applicable.
Step 4 - Buy $LUNC (Terra Classic Native Token / Asset):
To interact with Juris Protocol, you will need $LUNC, the native asset of Terra Classic. Purchase LUNC through a reputable centralized exchange such as Binance. Ensure you follow the exchange’s process for identity verification and transaction security.
Step 5 - Transfer Your $LUNC to Your DeFi Wallet:
After acquiring $LUNC on an exchange, the next step is to transfer it to your newly created DeFi wallet. Initiate a withdrawal on the exchange by entering your wallet address and confirming the transfer details. Always verify that the wallet address is correct to avoid any loss of funds.
Step 6 - Connect to Juris Protocol:
Once your LUNC is safely in your DeFi wallet, head to the Juris Protocol web app and click on the “Connect Wallet” button. Follow the prompts to authorize the connection, allowing you to seamlessly interact with the platform. This connection will enable you to manage lending, borrowing, staking, and other key functionalities directly within the Juris ecosystem.
Step 7 - ***Optionally*** fund your wallet with other assets used by Juris Protocol
While $LUNC is the primary asset for interacting with the Terra Classic ecosystem and Juris Protocol, you may choose to diversify your wallet further. You can acquire additional assets supported by the protocol in a few different ways:
Buy - Purchase other supported assets directly from a centralized exchange and then transfer them to your DeFi wallet, just as you did with $LUNC.
Swap - Use the integrated swap tool on Juris Protocol to convert $LUNC into other assets seamlessly, enabling you to tailor your portfolio with minimal friction.
Bridge - Leverage the platform’s bridging functionality to transfer assets such as $ATOM or $SOL from other blockchains. This enables you to utilize a variety of digital assets across different Juris Protocol products.
By optionally adding a broader range of assets, you gain enhanced flexibility to leverage various protocols and products within the Juris ecosystem. This diversified approach can open up additional strategic opportunities for managing risk and optimizing returns.
By carefully following these steps, you ensure a secure and smooth entry into the world of Juris Protocol. Detailed guides and video tutorials are available on our support pages to assist you further if you need extra help at any stage of the setup process.
